Zaccheroni names Japan 23-man squad for World Cup 2014

Japan coach Alberto Zaccheroni has named his 23-man squad for the upcoming World Cup finals. 

High profile players the likes of Yuto Nagatomo and Shinji Kagawa have all made the final cut and are expected to play a key role in this summer’s showpiece.

Despite failing to fire since his move to AC Milan, Keisuke Honda has also retained his spot in Zaccheroni’s 23-man squad and will looking to use this tournament as a foundation for future success.

The Blue Samarai will face an uphill battle as they attempt to qualify from Group C, which also houses Colombia, Ivory Coast and Greece.

Below is the final 23-man squad in full.
