Genoa and AC Milan are ready to swap striker Alessandro Matri for full-back Sime Vrsaljko by next week.

Reports in the last few days revealed negotations between the Serie A clubs had begun regarding several players.

Now Sky Sports Italia has leaked the outcome of the these talks with Matri and Vrsaljko expected to change sides.

The 29 year-old striker failed to impress after a 12 million transfer and was sent on loan in January to Fiorentina.

Vrsaljko was one of the revelations of the season and was involved in Croatia’s short stint at the 2014 World Cup.

Milan feel Matri is surplass to requirements and want to address their shortcomings in the full-back positions.

Genoa need a forward to replace the outgoing Alberto Gilardino and know sooner or later Vrsaljko will leave.
