Arsenal’s Costa Rican striker Joel Campbell is being monitored by AC Milan, after the Milanese giants move for Alessio Cerci stalled.

Torino forward Cerci is widely believed to be the Rossoneri’s main transfer target this summer, but Torino are refusing to budge on their €20 million valuation of the player, which Milan cannot currently afford.

With the move stalled, Sky Sport Italia are reporting that Milan have moved onto other targets, chief of which is Arsenal’s World Cup star Joel Campbell, who the Rossoneri believe they can get on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

New Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi has requested an outside forward that can play on the right or left wing to complete his squad, with Campbell fitting the bill perfectly.

Milan are believed to be in a battle with Arsenal to try and sign Shakhtar Donetsk’s Brazilian forward Douglas Costa, but would be willing to pull out of negotiations if it meant the Gunners sent Campbell to the San Siro for the coming season.
