Taarabt AC MilanDespite a successful loan spell with AC Milan last season, it seems the club will not be pursuing a permanent deal for QPR’s Adel Taarabt.

Taarabt arrived to much surprise in January of last year on loan from Premier League side Queens Park Rangers, and went on to play 14 games, scoring four goals, in a successful loan spell that almost led to the Milanese giants taking up their €7 million purchase option on the player.

However, according to Sky Sport Italia, the departure of former coach Clarence Seedorf and the arrival of new coach Filippo Inzaghi has changed the Rossoneri’s targets and interest in a permanent deal for the Moroccan international has waned.

It is thought Inzaghi and director Adriano Galliani have decided that strengthening in the wide areas is the new priority, particularly a winger who can play on both flanks, and have deemed Taarabt as not fitting the requirements.

Taarabt, though, still has his heart set on a permanent return to the San Siro.
