The annual pre-season Trofeo Tim will be held on August 24.

The competition will see AC Milan, Juventus and Sassuolo compete and it will take place at the Neroverdi’s Mapei Stadium in Reggio-Emilia.

Milan confirmed on their official website that the competition will be held on August 24, with the competition kicking off at 20.45 Italian time.

The friendly tournament consists of three games of 45 minutes each, with games going straight to a penalty shootout if a winner cannot be decided in normal time.

A win in normal time is worth three points, two points are awarded to the winner of a penalty shootout and one point goes to a side that loses on spot-kicks.

The 2013 edition of the Trofeo Time was won by first-time entrants Sassuolo, who appeared due to the absence of usual contestants Inter who have won the cup a record eight times.

Eusebio Di Francesco’s side will be looking to retain the trophy on August 24 at their home stadium in what is traditionally a warm-up event for Italy’s big three.
