Ezequiel Lavezzi could make a return to the Serie A this summer with AC Milan leading the chase for the 29-year-old forward.

The Argentine star has been a preferred target for Chelsea, Juventus, and Milan as fellow countryman Angel di Maria potential switch from Real Madrid to Paris Saint-Germain would make Lavezzi surplus requirements.

Lavezzi still remains under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until June 2016 but he could follow former team mates Alex and Jeremy Menez to the San Siro, both of whom arrived on free transfer from Paris in early July.

According to Tuttosport discussions over Milan’s summer transfer policy were addressed in a meeting between Pippo Inzaghi, Adriano Galliani, Barbara Berlusconi and club president Silvio Berlusconi where Lavezzi’s name was mentioned.

With the departure of Kaka and the expected exit of Robinho to Orlando City the Rossoneri will have cleared much salary, in addition to the speculation surrounding the sale of Mario Balotelli Milan could generate enough funds to make a move for Lavezzi.
