AC Milan may turn to Villarreal star Giovani dos Santos if their assault on Torino’s Alessio Cerci does not come to fruition.
The 25 year old Mexican international was in mesmerizing form for the Yellow Submarines this past campaign in a false nine role, netting eleven goals in the league.
With a move for Cerci having stalled in recent weeks, Milan could make a move for dos Santos as new boss Filippo Inzaghi is intersted in landing the Mexican according to Corriere della Sera.
Fiorentina have also registered their interest in dos Santos, and it is believed that the club’s relationship with Villarreal may prove advantageous for the Florence side.
Dos Santos was in impressive form for his national team at the recent World Cup, as they bowed out to the Netherlands in the first knockout stage.
