AC Milan forward Robinho’s expected move to join former teammate Kaka at Orlando City has hit a stalemate in negotiations.

Robinho joined Milan in 2010 from Manchester City in a highly anticipated transfer worth €18 million, but his four year stay at the San Siro has failed to produce the impact that was expected from him early on in his career.

While Adriano Galliani looks to offload the 30-year-old forward, Milan remain linked with a move for another Brazilian in Shakhtar Donetsk forward Douglas Costa.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport Milan have made Costa a target this summer as the availability of the young Brazilian continues to attract attention across Europe, having scored seven goals in 39 appearances for the Ukrainian side last season.

Milan also appear interested in bringing back Adel Taarabt to the San Siro as the Queens Park Rangers midfielder who spent the second half of last season on loan with the Rossoneri could return in a permanent move if the London club agree to a deal cheaper than €7 million for the 25-year-old.
