AC Milan and Genoa are due to meet this week to discuss an exchange between Alessandro Matri and Sime Vrsaljko, with Mattia Perin’s future also on the table.

Matri has flopped since joining Milan from Juventus last summer and was loaned out to Fiorentina for the second half of last season. Croatian international Vrsaljko, on the other hand, has been a roaring success since joining Genoa last season and has attracted interest from clubs like Arsenal, Inter and Juventus.

According to Sport Mediaset Milan chief Adriano Galliani and Genoa supremo Enrico Preziosi are due to meet this week to discuss transfers between the two clubs with Milan right back Ignazio Abate believed to have been put up for sale by the Rossoneri, he could leave as part of any deal.

Galliani may also inquire about Italian international goalkeeper Mattia Perin. The 21-year-old has been tracked by Milan for a number of years and they may be about to lay the groundwork for a deal.

They are liable to face strong competition from throughout Europe for the keeper but good relations between the clubs could help bring the player to the San Siro.
