AC Milan have been linked with a possible double swoop for Barcelona’s Dani Alves along with his teammate Alex Song.

Alves has one year remaining in his contract with the Catalan club and has expressed his desire to stay to see out the remainder of his contract. Song on the other hand has been placed on the transfer-list and seems to be in the plans of a Milan revival under Pipo Inzaghi.

El Mundo Deportivo reported Milan’s interest in the Barca duo, as they don’t seem to be a part of Luis Enrique’s plans for next season.

Song has struggled to gain first team football and has been mainly used to cover injuries in midfield and defence.

Alves and Song both had a dismal time at  the World Cup with the Cameroon defender playing a total of 119 minutes before being sent off for a bizarre elbow on Mario Mandzukic in the second group game, while Alves started four games for Brazil but was replaced Maicon for their final two games.
