It has been confirmed that Massimiliano Allegri will take over at Serie A champions Juventus after the exit of Antonio Conte this week.

Despite speculation surrounding his future, it was expected that Conte would remain as Bianconeri boss having gone with the club to their pre-season training camp at Vinovo but announced his surprise decision on Tuesday night.

Juventus have moved very quickly to replace him with various sources across the peninsula confirming that he is the new coach of Juventus and will be unveiled on Wednesday afternoon at a press conference at 15:00 CET.

Allegri has been out of a job since leaving AC Milan in January following a poor run of results that culminated in a 4-3 loss against newly-promoted Sassuolo.

He led the Rossoneri to a Scudetto in his first season in charge at San Siro and is the man tasked with keeping the Old Lady in the manner to which she has become accustomed – by delivering success.

Allegri has signed a two year contract until 2016 with Juventus.
