Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson has revealed that he wants to stay with the Aquilotti and prove his quality to the club next season.

The 21-year-old, who arrived at the Biancocelesti from Santos last summer, was unable to find success with the capital city club during his debut season due to injury problems and a lack of playing time and he admits that he’s looking forward to starting fresh once the 2014-15 campaign begins.

Anderson recently spoke during a press conference at Lazio’s training camp in Auronzo about his difficult time last term and insisted that he’s trying his hardest to satisfy coach Stefano Pioli.

“I’m starting again with the desire to do well and demonstrate my value,” said the Brazilian. “My real starting point will be in this new season.

“Last season was a difficult one, but now I’m more concentrated and every game must be decisive. I had been out for four months without playing last season, then I had started to feel better after January.

“I have a great desire to stay here at Lazio and show everyone what I can do on the pitch.

“Lazio’s goals next season? I believe this season could be a big one for us. I speak with coach Pioli a lot and I try to do whatever he asks of me.”
