Cagliari centre-back Davide Astori is reportedly close to finalising his move to Lazio.
The Biancocelesti had appeared to miss out on the deal after Inter reportedly entered negotiations to acquire the services of the 27-year-old.
According to Il Tempo, Astori is one step away from donning Lazio’s shirt next season after reaching an agreement with the club.
Astori has reportedly agreed a four-year contract with a salary of €1.2 million, and all that remains is the agreement of Lazio president Claudio Lotito to finalise the deal.
Il Tempo also report that Olympique Marseille man Lucas Mendes is the back-up player if the deal with Astori does not materialise.
It is also worth mentioning that Astori has made over 180 appearances for Cagliari since moving there from A.C. Milan in 2008.
