La Liga winners Atletico Madrid have entered the race to sign Hellas Verona’s highly-priced winger Juan Iturbe.
The 21 -year old, who enjoyed an excellent season scoring eight goals and assisting five in the Serie A, has been intensely scouted by Juventus in the summer as the Bianconeri look to have failed in their attempts to lure Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez to Turin.
TuttoSport are reporting that Los Colchoneros have submitted a bid worth €25 million and also agreed to send their young talent, Leo Baptistao, on loan to the Italian club.
There are also other sources that state Bayern Munich to be interested in the young Argentinean’s signature as they intend to sign a replacement for the ageing Arjen Robben.
Iturbe previously played for Porto before being loaned to River Plate in Argentina, and then resurrecting his career at Verona.
