Udinese shot-stopper Simone Scuffet could spend his first year in Spain at Getafe if Atletico Madrid purchase him from the Zebrette.

The 18 year old Italian had a stunning debut season for Udinese, prompting labels of the ‘new Buffon’ in his homeland.

Sky Sport Italia report that his form has not gone unnoticed by clubs around Europe with Atletico Madrid in particular very interested in him.

A fee of 4-5 million plus bonuses has been mooted, with Atletico willing to let him spend a year on loan at Getafe if a move goes through..

Curiously, Getafe just sold their first choice goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya to Atletico Madrid a month ago.
