Atletico Madrid are making a late attempt to beat Juventus to the signing of Hellas Verona star Juan Iturbe.
The Bianconeri look set to close a €25 million deal for the Argentinian whizkid, having beat off competition from AC Milan but the Spanish champions have other ideas.
La Corriere di Verona report that Atletico are hoping to offer Verona a more tempting deal, as they are willing to include some players in part exchange.
Atletico are prepared to offer €25 million plus the services of either striker Leo Baptistao, young defender Jose Gimenez or left back Emiliano Insua.
It is reported that Verona will listen to Atletico’s offer and may negotiate, but Iturbe still has his heart set on a move to Juventus.
