Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri has played down speculation of a move away from the Bavarian club this summer.
The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with Juventus and Roma, with reports emerging that representatives from the Bianconeri met with the player’s agent.
However, Shaqiri was quick to dismiss such rumours on his official Facebook page, saying that he is “not in talks with other clubs.”
“It is that time of the year when many stories are written,” he wrote. “But as we know, only a few are true and I want to respond to the rumours.
“I am on vacation and I am not in talks with other clubs nor have I spoken with any journalists.
“I have a contract with Bayern Munich until 2016, and my advisors are in regular contact with the people responsible at Bayern, so there is no reason for speculation.”
Shaqiri made 27 appearances for Die Roten last season, scoring seven goals and registering four assists.
