Rafa Benitez NapoliNapoli coach Rafa Benitez believes his team is well-equipped to compete on both domestic and European fronts this upcoming season.

Benitez feels the Partonopei require only small tweaks in the lineup as they look to continue to strengthen their squad this summer, and is confident going into this season.

“We need to change small things to improve, but not many,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “Scudetto? We aim to win something, such as the Italian Cup, Scudetto or Champions League, but I can not say what.

Benitez also spoke about Napoli’s two summer signings so far, Spanish forward Michu from Swansea City and French defender Kalidou Koulibaly from Racing Genk.

“Michu? He is a clever player and good in front of goal,” Benitez said.

“Koulibaly? He is a strong and fast player, able to play with both feet and has a good head, he raises the level of competitiveness in the defensive department.”

Benitez also addressed rumors of two more potential Napoli targets in the midfield, Livepool’s Lucas Leiva and Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Christoph Kramer

“The names rumored will be many, but the market will decide who will stay and who will come,” the Spaniard continued.

“Kramer and Lucas Leiva? These are players from other teams.”
