AC Milan defender Daniele Bonera has revealed that new Diavolo boss Filippo “Pippo” Inzaghi has been developing a good relationship with the club’s players since his arrival.
The 33-year-old has compared Inzaghi’s approach to that of former Rossoneri coach Carlo Ancelotti and insists that the tactician is focused on helping the San Siro outfit become a successful team again.
Bonera spoke during a press conference at Milanello on Friday about what Inzaghi has brought to the team and commented on the current situation of team-mate Mario Balotelli.
“Pippo’s relationship with the players shows that he has learned a lot from Ancelotti,” said the veteran defender.
“He has some very offensive ideas and I think that he wants to get the team playing well again, as there has been a little something that has been missing in the past few years.
“Balotelli? I do not feel like I’m important enough to be giving Mario advice, I just think he needs to return with the right amount of desire, which I think he will do.
“He’ll find a group that respects the rules but he’s already training to get back into good shape for when he does come back and we will all welcome him because he is a very important part of this squad.
“The coach has made his rules for the team very clear.”
