Cagliari have announced the signings of defender Simone Benedetti and striker Samuele Longo from Inter.
Now Cagliari have released a statement on their official website detailing both Benedetti and Longo’s arrival in Sardinia.
“Cagliari Calcio announces that it has acquired Simone Benedetti and Samuel Longo for the 2014-15 season,” the statement read.
“Benedetti comes to the red and blue in an outright purchase while Longo will be loaned with an option to buy,” it concluded.
Initial reports believed the central defender would arrive on loan but Cagliari have decided to purchase Benedetti instead.
Longo represents a real coup signing for Zdenek Zeman’s team after some impressive performances in La Liga.
