Cerci – Torino

Torino president Urbano Cairo coach has revealed his intent to keep hold of forward Alessio Cerci amid transfer speculation linking the 27-year-old with a move to AC Milan.

The Italian international has been heavily linked with a move to the San Siro this summer
as the Rossoneri look to bolster their attack for next season.

In an interview with La Stampa, Cairo revealed his desire to cash in on Cerci who played a major role in securing Torino a seventh place Serie A finish and a Europa League qualification.

“I received some offers but they were not adequate. If he wants to, we can renew the contract,” Cairo said.

However a Rossoneri deal for Cerci would remain contingent on Milan generating enough funds through the sale of Robinho in order to meet Torino’s expected €2o million price tag.

Cerci finished his 2013-2014 Serie A campaign with 13 goals helping Toroino to their highest finish in 22 years.
