Juventus are looking to start a bidding war as they look to offload Angelo Ogbonna after just one season at the club, with Arsenal being reported as serious contenders to get his signature.

The 26-year-old moved to the Old Lady from local rivals Torino for an initial fee of €13 million, but only made 16 Serie A appearances last season and does not appear to be a part of new coach Massimiliano Allegri’s plans for the new campaign.

Sportmediaset reports that the defender could be allowed to leave for a fee in the region of €12m with Sevilla, Atletico Madrid and Arsenal all interested in signing the Bianconeri player.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is potentially looking for a new central defender due to the uncertain future of captain Thomas Vermaelen, who has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United all summer.
