Lazio are set to complete the signing of defender Stefan De Vrij on a long term contract from Feyenoord, after the Dutch side decided to cash in on their star defender.
The Netherlands international had an impressive World Cup and Feyenoord decided to accept Lazio’s offer as his contract was due to expire at the end of next season.
The 22-year-old centre back will undergo his medical with Lazio within the next 48 hours to conclude a €8.5 million deal which will see the player sign a five-year deal with the Biancocelesti, according to Dutch daily De Telegraaf.
To date, de Vrij has won nineteen international caps and scored his only international goal against Spain in their opening World Cup fixture. He has played his entire career with Feyenoord and has made around 150 appearances for the side.
