PrandelliFiorentina’s co-owner Diego Della Valle once again criticised Cesare Prandelli for his recent resignation as Italy’s coach.

Prandelli vacated the position after the Azzurri’s disappointing performance in the World Cup, which they exited in the group stage despite winning their first match against England.

“If there is someone who does not wonder about Prandelli’s behavior, that is me,” Della Valle told the press from Rome, where he and Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis attended the presentation of ‘Cinecitta World’.

“To see him run away after all this mess did not surprise me at all,” said Della Valle, who worked with Prandelli for four years during his presidential term at the Viola.

“It’s in the DNA of man,” Della Valle continued.

“Prandelli is a person who does not have the ability to do things well.

“He manages to build good media relations but when times come for him to back-up words with facts, he goes missing and does not explain to anyone what has happened.”
