Dybala palermoPalermo striker Paulo Dybala says the club’s first objective is to secure their Serie A status next season after the Sicilian’s won promotion back to the big time with a record Serie B haul of 86 points.

The 20 year-old Argentinian forward signed for Palermo in 2012 from Instituto de Córdoba in his homeland and has been compared to his compatriot Sergio Aguero.

“It’s going to be a difficult season ahead and I want to play as much as possible and score goals,” Dybala told Sky Sport Italia.

“Serie A is a lot tougher than Serie B, but if we stick to together as a team we can achieve our goal.”

He also spoke about Palermo coach Giuseppe Iachini and the influence he’s had on him and president Maurizio Zamparini’s thoughts on the new season.

“Iachini has helped me a lot since he arrived at the club and I want to pay him back. Our president wants us to stay in Serie A but he is dreaming of Europe.”

Dybala has netted eight goals in 55 appearances so far for the Rosanero.
