Lazio midfielder Ederson has revealed that he will be back in the Aquilotti line up in the coming weeks after spending months on the bench with a thigh injury.

The 28-year-old suffered a serious hamstring injury back in January that saw him miss the whole second half of the 2013-14 campaign and he has confirmed that he’s currently doing well and plans on making his return to training in about 15 days.

Ederson spoke to Lazio Style Channel on Wednesday about his recovery and the precautions he’s taking to prevent another injury, while also praising the attitude of new Lazio boss Stefano Pioli.

“I’m working well and I’m doing very well in the physical aspect,” said the Brazilian. “Many fans ask me how I’m doing when they see me on the street.

“The only thing that I still need to do is make my return to the squad, which we’re still putting off until we’re sure that I’m well enough so I don’t have to worry about suffering any more problems in the coming months.

“I should be back in the group within the next 15 days.

“Pioli? He’s a professional and he always asks the most out of all of us. I really like the fact that he tries to talk to everyone.

“With this type of dialogue we can surely improve and do well next season.”
