Lazio could be set to offer Dutch international defender Edson Braafheid a contract after it was revealed he is currently on trial with the club.
The 31 year old is currently a free agent, but was most recently with Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, having also played with giants Bayern Munich from 2009-11.
Sportmediaset report that Lazio could be set to offer the Dutchman a contract if he impresses given the need for fresh blood in their defensive department.
The Aquile already secured a coup with the signing of Feyenoord and Oranje defender Stefan de Vrij but are still after more defensive reinforcements.
Braafheid has represented his nation 10 times, and participated at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
