Fabio Quagliarella has said he is excited by the new chapter he is embarking upon with Torino, following his €3.5 million move from Juventus.

The 31-year-old had been pivotal in the second of the Bianconeri’s three successive Scudetto’s but fell down the pecking order of Llorente and Tevez and with the club expected to announce the arrival of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, Quagliarella time at the Juventus Stadium was deemed to be over.

However, Quagliarella, who managed only a single goal in 16 appearances last season, believes he still has a part to play in Serie A with Torino.

“From now on I start a new chapter with the jersey of the bull,” he announced on his official Twitter account.

Quagliarella started his career at Torino, having risen through their youth system, and will now seek to replace Ciro Immobile as the main source of goals as Il Toro aim to improve on their impressive seventh-placed finish last season.
