Scuffet – Udinese

According to his agent, Simone Scuffet will remain at Udinese for the upcoming campaign despite rumours linking him elsewhere.

The 18-year-old has turned down an offer to join Atletico Madrid, in favour of staying with the Zebrette.

Speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb.com, Scuffet’s agent Claudio Vagghegi claimed that him and the player had decided that staying in Udine would be more beneficial to the player’s growth.

“The offer from Atletico Madrid was interesting and advantageous but we and the player’s family agreed that the best thing for him is to have a progressive and gradual growth,” Vagghegi said.

“The best place for him to continue to develop is at Udinese, a professional atmosphere which at the same time is familiar to him.

“We are convinced that we have made the right choice for him” He concluded.

The youngster was the Zebrette’s first choice choice keeper for a large portion of last season making 16 appearances in Serie A and keeping six clean sheets.
