Graziano Pelle - FeyenoordFeyenoord’s Italian goal machine Graziano Pelle looks likely to sign for English side Southampton.

Saints are looking to boost their forward following the key departure of Rickie Lambert to Liverpool and Pelle has is said to have worked his way onto their radar after a couple of prolific seasons in the Eredivisie.

Gazzetta dello Sport indicated that the 28 year old striker is subject to a €12 million offer from the south coast club, which would test the resolve of the Club on the Meuse to keep hold of their star asset.

Pelle came through the youth system at hometown club Lecce, winning the Primavera title with the Giallorossi in 2002 before moving to the Netherlands. After an underwhelming spell at AZ Alkmaar, he moved back to Italy, to Parma, but again failed to impress.

In 2012, he was signed by Feyenoord and was an instant hit – scoring 27 goals in his first season, the highest figure by an Italian player outside Italy, and 23 in his second.
