antonio conte JuventusFollowing rumours that Antonio Conte is close to becoming Paris Saint-Germain’s new coach it has been reported that the tactician cannot coach another Italian club this season as per his termination agreement with Juventus.

The 44-year-old led Juventus to a hat-trick of Serie A titles as well as two Coppa Italia’s during his time in charge in Turin but surprisingly resigned last week amidst rumours that he was set to succeed Cesare Prandelli as Italy’s national coach.

Tuttomercatoweb are now reporting that Conte’s wish to be released from his contract early was only granted under the stipulation that he would not coach another Italian club for at least a year, which would leave him free to takeover as PSG boss.

This would also leave the door open for the Italian national team job, although that can only be offered to him after a new Federation president is elected next month.

Conte is currently favourite to succeed Prandelli, with former Inter manager Roberto Mancini second favourite as the Azzurri look to bounce back from a dismal World Cup campaign in Brazil.
