Galatasaray have made an offer for Cardiff City’s Gary Medel despite the Chilean being close to sealing a deal to Inter.
The Nerazzurri have been heavily linked with the Chile international over the past few weeks and a move away from Cardiff, who were relegated last season, looks increasingly inevitable.
“I can say that we are dealing with the player and negotiations are in a very advanced state,” Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio told Chilean newspaper El Grafico.
“He is a player whom we like but no deal has been reached yet.”
Inter are reportedly willing to pay €7 million plus €2m in bonuses to get their man although they prefer a one-year loan deal with an option to make the move permanent.
According to the Daily Mail, Galatasaray have also entered the race to sign the 26-year-old making Cardiff an offer in excess of €12.5m.
With the Chilean believed to favour a move to the Italian giants, it appears as thought he Turkish club may lose out on the player who impressed for the South American side at this summer’s World Cup.
