Galatasaray are reportedly willing to sell midfielder Wesley Sneijder in order to raise funds in their pursuit of AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli.

The 23-year-old Italy international is thought to be a main target of new Gala boss Cesare Prandelli, who worked with the controversial forward during his stint as Azzurri boss, though he may face some competition from Premier League sides Liverpool and Arsenal.

According to the Daily Express, the Turkish giants could be on the verge of offloading Sneijder to Manchester United, where the Dutch international would be reunited with former Netherlands national team coach Louis van Gaal, for a discounted price as they look to take the lead in the race for Balotelli’s signature by making an immediate bid for him.

Sneijder scored 12 goals and provided seven assists in his 28 Super Lig appearance for Galatasaray last term, while Balotelli netted 14 goals and provided six assists in his 30 Serie A appearances for the Rossoneri last season.
