galliani silvio berlusconiAC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani insits new coach Filippo Inzaghi will have the Rossoneri ready for the start of the Serie A campaign after the fixture list for the new season were announced.

Inzaghi has had a slow start to pre-season after losing 3-0 to Olympiacos and 5-1 to Manchester City during the club’s tour of the United States, but Galliani insists the Rossoneri are backing their man while also commenting on the week three reunion with former Milan and current Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri.

“They are the fixtures and must be accepted,” Galliani told Sky Sport Italia after being dealt a tough start to the season with matches against Lazio, Parma and Juventus.

“You never know what condition your opponent will be in come the start of the season.

“Inzaghi? Defeats are never enjoyable but we realize that many of our players are missing and the players that are here will take time to find their form and fitness. Inzaghi is completely supported by us.”

Galliani was then asked about what is sure to be a passionate affair when former Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri leads the Bianconeri against his former club at the San Siro.

“We’re playing Allegri in the first game of the TIM trophy[23rd August] so the emotion will be a bit more diluted as the league game will be the second time we have met.

“I’m very happy for Max[Allegri] who leads the champions of Italy, it will be a good challenge.”
