Robinho AC MilanAC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has admitted that the club are looking to offload Robinho in order to pursue other transfer targets, but the player is unlikely to join Orlando City.

The Brazilian forward is expected to leave the Rossoneri this summer after four years at the San Siro, with interest from clubs in Brazil and Orlando City of the MLS, a move which would see him follow former teammate Kaka to Florida.

“For Robinho we are waiting for other offers, we’ll see on Monday,” Galliani told Tuttomercatoweb outside a Lega di Serie A administration meeting in Milan.

“Negotiations with Orlando are advanced, but we are very far apart with regard to the numbers.

“The deal will not go through for economic reasons. Their offer and our request is very, very far away.

“Our relationship with Orlando is very good, but we are very far away. My prediction is that nothing will be agreed with Orlando.”

Galliani also admitted that any further transfer business, such as a move for Torino’s Alessio Cerci or a permanent deal for Adel Taarabt, is dependent on Robinho leaving the club.

“If Robinho does not leave we cannot do anything. It all depends on Robinho.

“Taarabt coming back is a possibility. If Robinho leaves we can look for a right winger. Pippo [coach Filippo Inzaghi] though prefers a lefty.”

Milan have also been linked with moves for Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Douglas Costa and Zenit St. Petersburg defender Domenico Criscito, but Galliani dismissed this speculation.

“We have never spoken about Douglas Costa. He is a strong player, belonging to a rich club that has placed a buy-out clause of €50 million on him.

“And we have never spoken with Zenit about Criscito.”
