Italian club Genoa have made an offer for USA international DeAndre Yedlin to try and tempt the defender to the play in the peninsula for the coming season.

Yedlin was outstanding for his country in their impressive run to the last 16 of the Brazil World Cup and is now set for a move to Europe with many potential suitors making inquiries with current club Seattle Sounders.

Il Secolo XIX has reported that the Grifone are one of the first to make a move for the galloping right back, offering a deal of around 2 million for the player who currently earns only 50,000 a year.

However, Genoa face stiff competition for his signature as Premier League side Liverpool have asked the USA man to join their pre-season training camp with a view to making a proposal to him should the trial be a success.

Il Secolo XIX also mentions Manchester United as showing some interest in the 20-year-old.
