Inter vice-president and former captain Javier Zanetti was allegedly carjacked and held at gunpoint in his homeland yesterday.
The 40-year-old Nerazzurri legend was on vacation with his family in Banfield when the horrible incident occurred.
Diario Popular reports that Zanetti was driving with his father in a Toyota 4×4, when they were intercepted by men who pointed a gun to his head and told him to surrender the car.
Zanetti reported the incident to the police via his cell phone immediately, but the police still failed to find them after scouring the area.
It is also worth mentioning that two years ago Zanetti‘s wife suffered a similar incident in Lanús, when her Mercedes-Benz was carjacked.
