Inter midfielder Saphir Taider would prefer a move to Lazio over Russian side Rubin Kazan.

The Algerian international was bought out by Inter completely from Bologna last month, but his future at the club is under some doubt.

Inter would prefer that he move to the Russian club, as the Italian side are in negotiations with Rubin midfielder Yann M’Vila and would prefer to include the Algerian in negotiations.

La Corriere della Sera report that Taider would prefer a move to Lazio to link up with his former boss at Bologna, Stefano Pioli, as that is where he played his best football.

A two-year loan move has been mooted if Taider was to make the move to the Albiceleste, with an option to buy him permanently at the end of the loan period.
