Inter are on the verge of signing Southampton striker Pablo Osvaldo on a loan deal, with Saphir Taider going the opposite way.

The wantaway 28 year old has been expected to join the exodus at St Mary’s this summer after failing to report for pre-season training on time, and he looks to have finally got his wish.

Sky Sport Italia report that Inter have finally struck a deal with Southampton, that will involve player swap between Osvaldo and Saphir Taider.

Osvaldo will join the Nerazzurri on a free loan with an option to buy, while Taider will ply his trade at Southampton on a one year loan, with no option to make the move permanent.

The deal is expected to be announced on Wednesday evening, and puts an end to one of the longest transfer sagas this summer.
