Inter to discuss move for Southampton striker

Inter are set for talk’s with English Premier League side Southampton over the future of Pablo Osvaldo as the Nerazzuri look to strengthen the forward line after the recent departure of Diego Milito.

Osvaldo only signed for The Saints in August 2013 for €15.1 million on a four-year contract but left the club in January to sign for Juventus on loan for the remainder of the season after admitting he failed to adapt to life in the Premier League.

According to Sky Sport 24, a representative from the San Siro club will meet with Southampton to discuss a deal for the the 28-year-old Argentine born striker. It’s reported that Inter president Erick Thohir would like the deal to be an initial loan with the option to buy in 2015.

Osvaldo has had previous spells with a number of Italian clubs including Atalanta, Lecce, Fiorentina, Bologna and Roma. His most successful period was his two-year stay in the capital where he hit the net 27 times in 55 appearances for the Giallorossi.
