Italy set to play Euro 2016 qualifiers in Palermo and Milan

Italy trainingItaly are set to play their opening matches for Euro 2016 qualification in Palermo and Milan.

The Azzurri are looking to put a disappointing World Cup campaign behind them as they look to begin their march to the European Championships on the right foot.

ANSA report that the Renzo Barbera in Palermo is set to host the opening Euro 2016 qualifier against Azerbaijan scheduled on Friday October 10 while the San Siro in Milan will host Italy’s match against Croatia on Sunday November 16.

Prior to the beginning of qualification the Azzurri are scheduled to meet the Netherlands in Bari on September 4.

Italy will open up their qualifying campaign on September 9, as they are set to travel to Oslo to face Norway.

The Azzurri have been placed in Group H in hopes of reaching their sixth straight European Championship.
