Inter defender Jonathan has revealed that Biscione coach Walter Mazzarri is satisfied with his team’s will to keep fighting for victory and is ready to lead the club to success during the 2014-15 season.

The tactician, who signed on as Nerazzurri boss after leaving Napoli last summer, was able to help the San Siro outfit secure a fifth place finish last term and the 28-year-old is confident that the Milan side can do ever better during the upcoming campaign.

Jonathan spoke to Sky Sport Italia about Mazzarri’s dedication to Inter for the new season and commented on the arrival of veteran defender Nemanja Vidic.

“I have seen Mazzarri at his full potential,” said the Brazilian. “Last season we saw only about 30 per cent of what he can give to the club, but this season we are sure that we will all be giving 100 per cent to do our best.

“We are with him and we are willing to do whatever he asks of us. He is happy with the challenge at Inter thus far, we have never given up.

“Vidic? He has the proper experience and all of the right qualities to fit in really well at Inter.

“We are a strong team and we will fight until the end for the Scudetto and a place back in the Champions League.”
