Juventus have reached an impasse with Fiorentina over a possible exchange deal that would involve Mauricio Isla and Stefan Savic.

Isla made only 16 starts for the Old Lady last season and it is thought that Juventus are looking for a long term replacement for 33-year-old Andrea Barzagli, who is out for three months after undergoing an operation on the heel bone.

Tuttosport reports that a stumbling block for this deal could be the asking price of €6 million Fiorentina wants in addition to Isla, while Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta and sporting director Fabio Paratici want an even exchange with negotiations ongoing between the two clubs.

Such a deal was put forth to Antonio Conte as well and is now being re-ignited after his departure.

In case the exchange deal falls through, Atletico Madrid could swoop in for Isla as coach Diego Simeone is reportedly interested in the Chilean.
