Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini is on the verge of signing a contract renewal that will extend his stay in Turin.

Chiellini’s current deal expires at the end of the 2014/15 season so Juventus are working quickly to get a renewal done.

TuttoMercatoWeb reports that the Turin club will offer the 29 year old defender a two year contract that will extend his stay at the club until 2017.

Chiellini is one of Juventus’ longest serving players making over 300 first team appearances since joining the club in 2005.

He also has 72 senior caps for the Italian national team throughout his career since debuting in 2004.
