Juventus are reportedly interested in Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku after the recent injury suffered by Alvaro Morata.

Morata arrived in Turin from Real Madrid in a high-profile transfer worth slightly over 20 million but suffered a knee injury in his first training session with the Bianconeri and is set to remain sidelined for a period of seven weeks.

TuttoMercatoWeb reports that Juventus have already inquired about signing Lukaku on a loan deal but the Blues have rejected the offer, making it clear that a temporary move is currently not on the cards for the 21-year old.

Since his arrival to Stamford Bridge from Anderlecht in the summer of 2011, Lukaku has made only 15 – scoreless – appearances for Chelsea, but has gained first-team football during loan spells with West Bromwich Albion and Everton.

In 71 total matches for the Baggies and the Toffees the Belgian international netted 33 goals and registered 15 assists, which helped him earn a spot in Belgian’s World Cup roster at the recent tournament in Brazil.
