Juventus sign attacking midfielder from PSG

Reigning Italian champions have announced the signing of Kingsley Coman from Paris Saint German after the player completed his medical tests successfully in Turin.

Coman, who started his youth career with US Senart-Miossy moved to Paris St-German at the age of six and moved up the ranks of the youth academy before eventually being integrated into the senior team last season where he made three appearances for the club.

Juventus finally announced the acquisition of the young attacking midfielder from France on their official website after they had been in talks with him for several months as he had decided not to extend his contract with the club based in Paris and eventually let his contract expire this July.

Juventus Football Club can today [Monday] confirm that Kingsley Coman has joined the club from Paris Saint-German after agreeing terms on a five-year contract,” read a statement on the Juventus website.

The 18-year-old French midfielder, born in Paris on 13 June 1996, began life at the US Senart-Moissy academy, where his impressive performances soon attracted the attention of PSG, who swooped to secure his services in 2004.

After rising through the youth ranks, Coman became PSG’s youngest ever player when he made his Ligue 1 debut at the age of 16 on 17 February 2013, coming off the bench to replace Marco Verratti against Sochaux.” 

The official club statement also gave descriptive details of his position and a brief note about his international career as well.

Coman, who is predominantly right-footed, is a technical and creative player blessed with extraordinary pace, long-range shooting ability and a unique vision to dictate the game.

“All these qualities have allowed him to don the national team’s jersey from the Under 16s up until the Under 21 squad where he made his debut in a friendly against Singapore on 2 June 2013. He marked his first appearance in style, scoring in a 6-0 win for Les Bleus.”
