The shock departure of Juventus coach Antonio Conte has thrown the potential transfers of Alvaro Morata, Juan Iturbe and Roberto Pereyra into doubt.

Morata, Iturbe and Udinese owned Pereyra were expected to join the Old Lady in the near future, with the deal taking Iturbe from Verona for upwards of €25 million in particular believed to be nearing completion.

However, according to Tuttomercatoweb, Antonio Conte’s departure has led to all incoming and outgoing transfers being put on hold, with the board believed to be focusing solely on finding Conte’s immediate successor as coach, with Massimiliano Allegri and Roberto Mancini currently believed to be the favourites.

The board are willing to wait for the new coach to assess the squad before any major moves in the market are made, which could lead to the futures of all three players being away from Turin.

Real Madrid striker Morata had been interesting Wolfsburg, while Argentinian pair Iturbe and Pereyra were also wanted by AC Milan and Inter.

The halt in negotiations could provide a window for other interested clubs to make a move for the players who, only on Monday, were all but assured of joining the Bianconeri this summer.
