Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar admits he is unsure of where his playing future lies next season amidst reports Lazio are interested in his services.
The 29 year old Dutch international had a superb World Cup and his performances have attracted the attention of Lazio, Southampton and Tottenham.
When speaking with voetbalcentraal.nl Vlaar revealed that he hopes to meet with management this week in order to clarify his situation, and figure out a solution.
“On Sunday I will return to Birmingham and speak with management,” Vlaar confirmed.
“I still have a year left of this contract and the club does not want to lose me and I still haven’t thought of a transfer [away].
“Soon, however, I will see my agent and talk about possible solutions.”
Vlaar has scored two goals in 52 appearances for Aston Villa since joining from Feyenoord in 2012.
