Antonio Candreva - LazioLazio president Claudio Lotito is pressing to secure the long-term services of winger Antonio Candreva in hopes of getting the Azzurri international to extend his stay at the Stadio Olimpico.

Unrest has grown among the Biancocelesti fans after Roma won the services of Davide Astori with a late bid and the capital club rivals are keen to make amends by extending Candreva, who was one of the few Azzurri players to impress at this summer’s World Cup.

Il Tempo reports Candreva has stipulated the terms necessary to extend his stay with Lazio as interest mounts in the services of the 27-year old Roman winger from Napoli, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

Candreva has requested a salary increase to €2 million per season with bonuses and a reported buyout clause in the €30m range which would activate after the current season.

While official negotiations have not yet begun, Lotito and Candreva are motivated to clarify their direction in advance of the upcoming season and ensure his availability for new coach Stefano Pioli.
