Liverpool and Everton are amongst a host of English clubs interested in landing the signature of Lazio midfielder Ogenyi Onazi.

The 21 year-old Nigerian joined the Biancocelesti in 2011 after impressive performances in the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Switzerland and has attracted interest from abroad due to his performances.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool, Everton and Southampton are all keeping tabs on the player, while Lalaziosiamonoi.it reports that Sunderland are keen to land the midfielder.

The player’s agent is due in Italy next week to discuss a possible deal and it’s thought Lazio will be looking for a fee of around €10 million for the player.

Onazi was included in Nigeria’s squad for the recent FIFA World Cup and started in all four of their games before they were eliminated in the round of 16 by France.
